Lake Manyara National Park
Numerous wildlife can be found gracing the plains of Lake Manyara National Park, including giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, ostrich, elephant, bush buck, aardvarks, and the occasional leopard. The lake attracts an abundance of bird life, comprised over 380 species such as flamingos, pelicans, storks, cormorants, Egyptian geese, and spur-winged geese.
Great Rift Valley
Our serene luxury retreat is located on the edge of a narrow corridor of looming cliffs, representing the wonder of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and also affords uninterrupted views of Lake Manyara. The national park offers enormous topographical variety and abundant wildlife within its 330 square kilometre range, making it an ideal day trip.
In contrast to the wide-open grasslands at the centre of the national park, ground water forests of tamarind, mahogany, and fig in the north teem with monkeys, while elephant often roam the slope of the escarpment among the baobab trees. In the acacia woodland, lions sprawl on the branches of umbrella trees and hippos cool down in pools along the lake’s shores.
